Before you buy a new cell phone or new tablet, please try the following procedure to repair your device. You can reset your ZTE device's password after power on: input *983*987# in emergency dial-up pad. Select Erase everything. It will restore factory settings and your personal data will be erased.
Turn off your ZTE X500 android: Press and hold both VOLUME DOWN + Camera + POWER ON ZTE x500, then press MENU to get into recovery menu. All data will be lost!
Select with 'camera' button and 'volume' buttons for navigating in recovery menu.

WARNING: All your personal information and downloaded applications on your phone will be erased after the resetting.

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu Key and touch Settings.

4 Touch Factory data reset.
5 Touch Reset phone.
6 Touch Erase everything.

If your phone is not respondig, simply take out battery and reinsert it. Turn on your phone.
