Sony Ericsson Aspen hard reset
Before
you buy a new cell phone or new tablet, please try the following
procedure to repair your device. First charge your battery, backup your
important data if possible and in most cases take out SIM and SD card.
It is impossible to recover your data after doing a hard reset, so
online backup is always important. For all of your data, a backup should
be done on an external device, hard drive, raid system or media.
Restore Aspen M1i phone to factory default settings
Restoring your phone can be useful if you lend out the phone or just want to restore your phone to factory default settings and delete all user data, such as contacts, messages, and downloaded games. Remember to backup Encrypted files before you use Master Reset, or update the ROM systemsoftware, to be able to access the encrypted files on the storage card afterwards.
To reset the phone to factory default settings:
1. Remove the battery cover and the stylus. Locate the small hole (see picture).
2. Press and hold the stylus into the slot below the battery to the right.
Insert a thin object into the hole and press down briefly.

3. The phone restarts.
The content of your phone will not be deleted.
To reset the phone to factory settings and delete all phone content, such as contacts, messages and downloaded games:
1. Tap the Start icon > Settings > System > Master reset.
2. Enter the code.
3. The phone restarts.
Note: When resetting the phone to factory settings, you may lose content that was in the phone when you purchased it.
